Bloom Battle at Local Color Flowers!
We’re so excited to announce Bloom Battle: LoCoFlo’s fifth annual amateur floral design competition! If you’ve ever taken a class at Local Color Flowers or you love dabbling in design at home, this is the perfect opportunity to show off your skills and creativity.
How it Works!
Bloom Battle is a two day event:
- April 3rd 2020 - Design and Instagram Famous voting
- April 4th 2020 - Public display and vote, celebrity judging and glory
How to Participate
- Be a contestant. Registration is required. Space is limited.
- Be an online fan: Enter your Likes among the three Instagram Famous finalists April 3 2020 from 10:30PM to April 4 2020 11:30AM.
- Be a fan in person: View all arrangements at our studio on April 4 2020 8:00AM - 12:00PM and vote for your favorite. Most votes wins People’s Choice prize. Stick around for the announcement of winners.

Drinks & DIY Spring Floral Arranging at The Point with The Rogue Petal Co. @ 6:00 PM

With drink in hand, learn to create a faux and dried floral arrangement fresh for spring!
At our workshop, you will learn to make a FAUX and dried spring floral arrangement. The photos depict a replica of what will be made at the event; a black painted, wooden drawer planter piece with a mix of faux stems, greenery, and dried craspedia. The planter is 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches length and width.
We provide all materials and instruction to get started, then you choose how to arrange the stems and we’ll guide you along the way—NO previous experience required to craft these!
All materials are included in the ticket price. PLUS* a drink ticket for a fresh crush or glass of wine with ticket purchase!
Space is limited, so book your tickets early (!). We will be hosting only one spring DIY workshop this season.
The workshop will be held at The Point in Fells in Fells Point Baltimore, MD.
Buttercream Bake Shop Cake Decorating Class! @ 5:30 PM
Learn to stack, fill and crumb coat a 3 layer (single tier) cake, mix buttercream colors and top coat/decorate your cake in our class watercolor or ombre style. We'll also review recipes, tools and resources! Each student will go home with an 8" vanilla cake filled with their choice of filling (choose from jams and curds) and vanilla buttercream.
AGE 13 and older only, please!
Buttercream Bakeshop will supply all tools and ingredients necessary for this project as well as aprons and coffee/tea and a few sweet treats. Class may run a bit over 2 hours. This workshop will be held in our basement kitchen, which is down a flight of stairs. Please wear non-slip shoes, no heels or open toe shoes.

Everyone will make a beautiful spring centerpiece to take home. Our arrangements could include tulips, daffodils, freesia poppies, ranunculus, anemones as well as foliage and flowering branches.
